I called this painting “phoenix” because it was my artistic rebirth, the moment in which I changed my approach to art after a long, unpleasant period of my life. With this painting I also started using acrylic paints and a palette knife instead of oil paints and a brush.

50 H x 50 W cm acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife, this artwork captures my personal interpretation of the majestic beauty of the mountains near my home in Piedmont on a cold winter morning.
Through deliberate brushstrokes and the use of a palette knife, I aimed to portray the awe-inspiring landscape that surrounds me. The towering peaks, covered in a pristine layer of snow, dominate the scene and evoke a sense of grandeur and strength.
Using vibrant acrylic paint, I sought to capture the crispness of the cold air and the delicate interplay of light and shadow on the slopes. Shades of blue and purple mingle with hints of cold silver , reflecting the rising sun and infusing the artwork with a sense of tranquility and serenity.
As the artist, I invite viewers to immerse themselves in the serenity of this winter landscape. The silent presence of the snow-covered mountains encourages reflection and introspection, evoking a profound appreciation for the natural world.
The composition emphasizes the vastness of the sky against the imposing mountains, creating a harmonious balance between the rugged terrain and the ethereal atmosphere. Sharp angles and textured brushstrokes capture the ruggedness of the peaks, while the smoothness of the snow adds a touch of softness and tranquility.
This painting reflects my personal connection to the mountains and the profound emotions I experience when surrounded by their beauty. It is an expression of my deep reverence for nature and a reminder of the importance of preserving and cherishing our natural surroundings.
May this artwork transport each viewer to the winter morning in the Piedmont mountains that I have had the privilege to witness, inspiring a deep appreciation for the power and serenity of nature and fostering a greater connection to the world around us.

In this painting I wanted to draw inspiration from certain oriental symbolisms by mixing them with silver curves of more western origin, all suspended over a red sea. I have always been attracted to oriental culture and will surely draw inspiration from it again in the future.

It represents an autumn landscape near my house in Rome.
In this period of climate change, I have decided to make the trees blood red, as they are the real helpless victims.
