I painted this picture in loving memory of my grandmother, Bianca Torelli, a talented and passionate professional painter. Throughout her life, she found great joy in creating still lifes, capturing the beauty of flower vases, and depicting mesmerizing landscapes. Inspired by her artistic legacy, I sought to imbue this artwork with a touch of my own style, offering a fresh interpretation of the flowers she so often painted.
While my artistic inclination leans towards abstract forms, there are moments when nature beckons me to wield my brush and translate its wonders onto the canvas. Each time I delve into the realm of nature through my art, a sense of contentment washes over me, reminding me of the profound happiness that comes from immersing oneself in the beauty of the natural world.

This painting is a profound reflection of my emotions and experiences during the challenging period of the COVID-19 quarantine. It serves as a visual transposition of the profound journey of self-discovery and the exploration of one’s desires that unfolded during those isolating days.
The canvas becomes a medium through which I express the eternal search for meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. Each brushstroke captures a fragment of the introspective process, revealing layers of emotions and thoughts that emerged during this unprecedented time. The larger format of this artwork allowed me to delve deeper into my creative exploration, giving ample space to convey the complexity of my inner world.
Within the vivid colors and intricate textures, I aimed to evoke a sense of both vulnerability and resilience, encapsulating the tumultuous nature of the human spirit. This painting stands as a testament to the power of art to heal, inspire, and transcend the boundaries of our physical circumstances.
In this time of immense uncertainty, the act of creating this piece became a source of solace and liberation, a means to transform adversity into an opportunity for personal growth. Through the strokes of paint, I embraced the opportunity to convey the universal yearning for self-discovery and the pursuit of our deepest desires.

Through this painting, I sought to capture the vibrant memories of the idyllic days I spent on the beaches of Sardinia, gazing out at the mesmerizing sea. I wanted to transport the viewer to those refreshing moments, where I felt immersed in the rhythmic embrace of the waves. The play of sunlight on the water’s surface, with its metallic glimmers and frothy white foam, inspired me to recreate the dynamic energy of the scene on canvas. Acrylic colors became my medium of choice, as they possess a unique quality that allows me to bring forth a sense of tactile depth and three-dimensionality to my artwork. I invite you to immerse yourself in this piece and relish the experience it evokes.

In this painting I wanted to represent another memory of my summer, there is me by the sea looking towards the horizon, letting my emotions go through me and enjoying the spectacle of nature.I used Maimeri acrylic colors, to paint I used both painting spatulas and brushes, the former to spread the color, the latter to create the effects of movement.

A walk in the woods was an inspiration for the creation of this painting, the point of view is mine that I look towards the sky. To paint I often refer to Edvard Munch’s advice, “| don’t paint what I see. But what I saw. “(Kristania, 1890). With this I certainly do not want to compare myself to the teacher, I simply make the thought of him my own.
