My paintings

Phoenix (2020)

50 H x 50 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife. I called this painting “phoenix” because it was my artistic rebirth, the moment in which I changed my approach to art after a long, unpleasant period of my life. With this painting I also started using acrylic paints and a palette knife instead of oil paints and a brush.

Oro blu (2020)

50 H x 50 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife.
It represents the wound in one’s certainties with respect to the ocean of unconsciousness.

Autumn (2020)

60 H x 40 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife.
It represents an autumn landscape near my house in Rome.
In this period of climate change, I have decided to make the trees blood red, as they are the real helpless victims.

My mountain(2020)

50 H x 50 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife.
It represents the mountains near my home in Piedmont on a cold winter morning.

Red sea (2020)

60 H x 40 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife. In this painting I wanted to draw inspiration from certain oriental symbolisms by mixing them with silver curves of more western origin, all suspended over a red sea. I have always been attracted to oriental culture and will surely draw inspiration from it again in the future.

Experiments (2020)

30 H x 20 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife. This “experiment” was a prerequisite for creating the “Autumn” painting. I later decided to give life to the tree by putting bronze leaves on it and accompanying it to a metallic seascape.

Wonderwall (2021)

50 H x 50 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife, abstract.
It is the transposition of my feelings during the covid quarantine. The eternal search for oneself and one’s desires expressed on canvas.

Scarlet feather (2021)

50 H x 50 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife. When I saw this feather in a stall at the market Porta Portese I was struck by the colors and gold reflections, then emphasized by me in the painting. Back home I immediately set to work to transform what was left in my head into a painting.

Sunrise (2021)

60 H x 40 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife.
It represents the sunrise over the sea, seen by my eyes. Here we find everything, the sea, the clouds and the long shadows of the morning, incorporated in the rising of the sun.

My mountain n.2 (2021)

60 H x 80 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife. It represents the mountains near my home in Piedmont on a cold winter morning.

Wonderwall n.2 (2021)

80 H x 60 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife, abstract.
It is the transposition of my feelings during the covid quarantine. The eternal search for oneself and one’s desires expressed on canvas. This time I wanted to try doing it in another larger format.

50 H x 50 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife. This painting was born from the search for pink and its various shades.

Pink explosion n.2 (2021)

80 H x 60 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife. This painting was born from the search for pink and its various shades.

Hope (2021)

60 W x 40 H cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife.
The painting depicts a winter landscape with trees and a teal-colored wall. The snow indicates the historical period in which we find ourselves cold of feelings and sterile of interests, the wall represents the indifference of mankind to what happens around us, while instead the flowering trees are the hope in the future, in the young and in a return to culture.

Bonfire on the beach (2021)

100 H x 100 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife.
In my work I wanted to re-propose the youthful and carefree emotions that accompany a bonfire on the beach. The lit fire, the songs, the chats, the loves, the sand and the waves of the sea; all wrapped up in the darkness of the night.

Broken window on the sea (2021)

60 H x 40 W cm, acrylic on canvas made with painting palette knife. In this painting I wanted to represent, symbolically, the concept that, despite sometimes having to collide with reality, our dream continues to wait for us behind the window.

Lights in the night (2022)

25H x 20L cm, abstract made with painting palette knife on canvas. In this picture I wanted to paint a memory of my youth, in my grandmother’s town there is a narrow, poorly lit street that descends towards the church square where there are strong yellow lights.

Flowers Paintings (2022)

80 H x 60 W, I painted this picture in loving memory of my grandmother, Bianca Torelli, a talented and passionate professional painter. Throughout her life, she found great joy in creating still lifes, capturing the beauty of flower vases, and depicting mesmerizing landscapes. Inspired by her artistic legacy, I sought to imbue this artwork with a touch of my own style, offering a fresh interpretation of the flowers she so often painted.

While my artistic inclination leans towards abstract forms, there are moments when nature beckons me to wield my brush and translate its wonders onto the canvas. Each time I delve into the realm of nature through my art, a sense of contentment washes over me, reminding me of the profound happiness that comes from immersing oneself in the beauty of the natural world.

Wonderwall n.3 (2022)

80 W x 120 L, This painting is a profound reflection of my emotions and experiences during the challenging period of the COVID-19 quarantine. It serves as a visual transposition of the profound journey of self-discovery and the exploration of one’s desires that unfolded during those isolating days. The canvas becomes a medium through which I express the eternal search for meaning, purpose, and fulfillment. Each brushstroke captures a fragment of the introspective process, revealing layers of emotions and thoughts that emerged during this unprecedented time. The larger format of this artwork allowed me to delve deeper into my creative exploration, giving ample space to convey the complexity of my inner world. Within the vivid colors and intricate textures, I aimed to evoke a sense of both vulnerability and resilience, encapsulating the tumultuous nature of the human spirit. This painting stands as a testament to the power of art to heal, inspire, and transcend the boundaries of our physical circumstances. In this time of immense uncertainty, the act of creating this piece became a source of solace and liberation, a means to transform adversity into an opportunity for personal growth. Through the strokes of paint, I embraced the opportunity to convey the universal yearning for self-discovery and the pursuit of our deepest desires.

Waves (2022)

30 W x 30 H, Through this painting, I sought to capture the vibrant memories of the idyllic days I spent on the beaches of Sardinia, gazing out at the mesmerizing sea. I wanted to transport the viewer to those refreshing moments, where I felt immersed in the rhythmic embrace of the waves. The play of sunlight on the water’s surface, with its metallic glimmers and frothy white foam, inspired me to recreate the dynamic energy of the scene on canvas. Acrylic colors became my medium of choice, as they possess a unique quality that allows me to bring forth a sense of tactile depth and three-dimensionality to my artwork. I invite you to immerse yourself in this piece and relish the experience it evokes.

Point of view (2022)

40 H x 40 W, In this painting I wanted to represent another memory of my summer, there is me by the sea looking towards the horizon, letting my emotions go through me and enjoying the spectacle of nature.I used Maimeri acrylic colors, to paint I used both painting spatulas and brushes, the former to spread the color, the latter to create the effects of movement.
